Website Code and Escrow

What is code? The user may in certain circumstances require access to the inner workings of the software. These are the lines of code in which the software is written, which constitute the instructions that the software gives to the system in order to produce the desired result. These instructions exist in two versions. In the form in which they run on a computer, the instructions are written in object code: a form in which they can be understood by a machine, but not by a human. If the object code has to be changed, the user will need access to the source code from which the object code was derived.
