Copyright Within China: A 2018 Review of Copyright Registrations
In 2018, China not only changed the name of its main intellectual property institution, the National Intellectual Property Administration of China (formerly SIPO (Shanghai Intellectual Property Office)), but it saw an increase in the registration of intellectual property. This indicates an increase in the recognition of how important intellectual property rights are, particularly copyright rights.
