The Jenner sisters are being sued for copyright infringement

Tupac’s photographer, Michael Miller, has filed a complaint against Kendall and Kylie Jenner. The action revolves around a collection of vintage inspired t-shirts. However, the sisters plan to place their initials and faces over band t-shirts may have back fired.

It is not just Tupac that has been subject to the Jenner treatment, with Biggie Smalls, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Metallica and Kiss all featuring in the t-shirt collection. Â I guess we will have to wait and see if the Jenner sisters obtained the relevant copyright clearance for all of the icons.

In the current action it has been reported that the Mr Miller claims the sisters “misappropriated and wrongfully exploited at least two original photographs of late hip-hop artist Tupac Shakur, slapping the iconic photographs on garments and overlaying them with dubious imagery and text,”

Mr Miller is claiming $150,000 in compensation, per image. He has alleged that he should be entitled to a proportion of the defendants’ profits with each t-shirt retailing at $125 there must be some profit to be had!

This type of action cannot be anything new for the Jenners, last month Kylie Jenner and her brand were accused of copying camouflage designs from PluggedNYC.Â
