These Regulations amend sections 51 and 52 of the Trade Marks Act 1994 (Âthe ActÂ) and also amend the Community Trade Mark Regulations 2006 (Âthe CTM RegulationsÂ).
An application for a European Union Trade Mark may only be filed at the EU Intellectual Property Office and so applications may no longer be filed with the Intellectual Property Office, hence the revocation of the relevant fee regulation.
