NICE classification system update coming 1st January 2017

From the 1st January 2017, the 11th edition of the international classification of goods and services system will come into force, known as the NICE system.

The NICE classification system indicates what class of goods or services a particular object or service would fall under. As times change and technology develops, something that may be in one class may be better suited for another a couple of years down the line.

For this reason, the system is updated every five years with goods moving to different classes and the introduction of new goods onto the system as to their relevant class.

The beginning of the New Year sees the end of the previous five year spell.
