US based FigureFun has filed a lawsuit in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Marshall Division against LegoÂs subsidiary Lego Systems.Â
Â
FigureFun is alleging that Lego has infringed two of its patents. The contentious patents at the centre of the lawsuit are US patent number 7,001,276 titled ÂGaming machine and server thereforÂ, and US patent number 7,338,337 titled ÂToken with built-in IC chipÂ.
Â
The lawsuit states that LegoÂs Lego Dimensions product has infringes their Gaming machine and server therefor patent. Further this product infringes the Token with built-in IC chip patent as the characters in the game include a Âtoken for a gaming machine on which a player plays a game by controlling the characterÂ.
Â
FigureFun are seeking damages, royalties, interest, costs, expenses, legal fees, a jury trial and any further relief or equity that the court may deem as just and proper.Â
