Defamation, Corbyn and Mohammed Kozbar

The article was published in May 2016 by former BBC journalist Andrew Gilligan ( himself no stranger to controversy)

The article headlined: “Corbyn and the mosque leader who blames the UK for Isil.” It then sought to connect Mr Corbyn with Mohammed Kozbar.

Kozbar successfully argued that the article was defamatory. The Sunday Telegraph removed the article from its website, accepted the article was defamatory, and paid damages in the region of £30,000.
