Cloud computing, and intellectual property

Well yes it is. Customers have to rely on Cloud providers to ensure that software licensing issues are resolved. One of the joys of cloud computing is that the consumer does not have to be concerend with the burden of for example software upkeep; that is no longer an issue for the customer.

However cloud-computing users need to be made aware of patent infringement through the use of cloud-computing arrangements iin particular in the US and, EU. Where so any indemnity needs to be sufficiently broad to protect the cloud services’ customers in every jurisdiction in which the software will be used.

Check tthe terms of the license- its vital you focus on the indemnity aspect.
