Bye Bye to the Google Trade Mark

In a media statement issued from Google Inc’s Googleplex headquarters, Google said:-

ÂWe are the worldÂs search engine and we organize the worldÂs data. We want to give something back to the online community, so we decided to acknowledge officially that ÂgooglingÂ for information is now a legitimate usage of our company’s name. From now on, our users can feel free to ÂgoogleÂ any search term, and they’re even welcome to do so on another search engine. ItÂs all fine with us, and we’re abandoning our trade mark registrations to show good faith in this regard.ÂÂ

It will continue to maintain its logo and also Google Earth.Â
