It is designed to mimic the positive effects of alcohol but doesn’t cause a dry mouth, nausea and a throbbing head, according to its creator Professor David Nutt plus a desire to eat ice scream, smoke cigarettes and watch dozens of episodes of a crap box series (according to me)

The Imperial College Professor told The Independent he has patented around 90 different alcosynth compounds. It should be available by 2050 by which time I will be 84 and either dead or too drunk to care if I have a hungover or not.
