Adele looking to branch out in the US with new TM application

Pop music royalty Adele is looking to expand her empire, following the success of our Vegas residency with a new trade mark application.

Adele’s company Melted Stone Ltd has filed a successfully registered UK trade mark application for ‘1,2, Free’ in goods including jewellery, stationary and clothing.

A subsequent application has now been filed in the US and is in the process of being examined. A US application can take around 18 months to be successfully registered so it may be some time before Adele knows the success of her application.

Adele is not the first to look at expanding her reach and moving into additional businesses. It is something that has become more and more common and can be a very lucrative.
