The Notice read as followsÂ
ÂYou must be covered by a TV Licence to download or watch BBC programmes on iPlayer  live, catch up or on demand. This applies to any device and provider you use. DonÂt forget, you still need a TV Licence to watch or record programmes on any channel as they are being shown on TV or live on an online TV service.Â
Not sure how they are going to detect you….So when you are about to watch the iplayer you will be asked if you have a license……if you say yes you are taken through to watch a show. If you say no then you will be referred to a payment page….If you say yes but dont have a license then its back to the familiar territory of IP addresses. Can they track you? Perhaps? Perhaps not!Â
That said its £3 per week – so go get yourself a license…
