Privacy jargon blasted

Don’t hide behind the legalese

A warning has been issued by the Information Commissioner on the marketing small print regarding the collection of data and in particular privacy policies.

A survey by You Gov reported that in a survey carried out to some 2000 persons in January many were cynical with the confusing babble found in the privacy policies.

Over two thirds wanted the notices to be more transparent and less jargon. The Information Commissioner warned that it was an area that it would look at more closely.

It is important though that you do lose the babble and jargon and speak to people more clearly. It is 2009 its not Bleak House and Jarndyce and Jarndyce.
