Nokia is planning to make handsets, bearing functions of TV and Web searching, in co-ordinationÂ with Samsung to develop interoperable products based on the DVB-H (Digital Video Broadcast-Handheld) standard for mobile TV. The company is also scheduling to use OMA BCAST or Open MobileÂ Alliance Broadcast Services Enabler Suite which outlines ways for developing an advance programÂ guide, support for multiple broadcast technologies, content and service protections using the SIMÂ (subscriber identity module) card or digital rights management. Moreover, Nokia is also promotingÂ new applications to make surfing the mobile internet to create Widgets (lightweight WebÂ applications used for collecting data on weather, stock quotes, flight schedules etc.) for mobileÂ phones.
