Nokia announced that it has filed complaints against Qualcomm pertaining to QualcommÂs European patents license which has been exhausted in respect of products placed on the European Union market. The complaints filed in Germany and the Netherland, if successful, would prevent Qualcomm in Europe from enforcing its respective patents in relation to NokiaÂs handsets incorporating chipsets. Texas Instruments and Qualcomm are publicly known to have entered into a Patent Portfolio License in 2000. Nokia, which developed GSM technologies has invested approximately Â30 billion in research and development in the early 90Âs and built one of the wireless industry’s strongest and broadest IPR portfolios with over 11,000 patent families and its evolution to Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (a type of 3G cellular network with higher speed transmission protocol used in the Japanese FOMA system) made it, the strongest position holder in technologies.
Snoop Dogg, real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, has found himself on the receiving end of a copyright infringement lawsuit, after posting a video of
