LG Philips wins flat-screen patent case

The District Court in Los Angeles has ruled that two LCD screen manufacturers, Chunghwa Picture

LG Philips said that the final amount of damages will be set by a judge, who could raise the sum to up to three times that amount.

LG Philips did not say exactly what patents were infringed, but said that they demonstrated the ‘building blocks’ of TFT LCD manufacture.
