EBay win counterfeit case

The High Court has certainly ruled that eBay was not legally accountable for the sale of counterfeit L’Oreal cosmetics on its British website. Judge Richard Arnold ruled that eBay cannot be held responsible for sellers’ actions, but agreed with L’Oreal that the internet auction company could do more to prevent counterfeiting. He suggested numerous measures the group might adopt.
